Handsome booze packaging

I know nothing about Bitter Sisters' cocktail mixes -- I don't drink hardly at all (puts me straight to sleep) and for all I know, this stuff tastes like gasoline. But the new packaging, designed by Shane Crawford, tickles my desiderata bone. Sure is purdy.

Looks like a cheap cough medicine bottle to me. It's difficult to know how big they are with nothing to show the scale.

"I don't drink hardly at all" so you do drink a lot? :P

I suppose if you like your alcohol to look like a cross between Robotussin and Jack Daniels?

Just look at it ...

Geez, Felix, there's, like, four other bottles to show the scale.

So, it doesn't look anything like a Jack Daniel's miniature then?

that just confuses me more! why are the bottles different sizes!?

They're not -- there are only three different sizes. Small, medium, and large.

Alas, it is only a package design & not an actual product. I like the design, kinda makes me wish I could buy some.

@Felix,

The bottles are all the same size, depth of field makes them look bigger or smaller. Click the link for more pictures and see what I mean.

These look exactly like the club drug "poppers," as usual, the gays were there first.

Not familiar with Sisters, but I think it's safe to assume it's a brand of Bitter. Bitter is exactly what it sounds like so you want to use it sparingly, as in a little drop will do ya.

Haha! You reminded me of this clip from good ol' Father Ted:

looks like a mini bottle of jack (style wise)

They print the pretty design clearer on the bigger bottle to try to get you to buy more.

Foo. As a bartender, I'm of the opinion that cocktail bitters are a sorely neglected ingredient in contemporary American beveraging (although they're making a comeback).

I was gearing up to go get some of these to try before my balloon got deflated with the truth.

I fancy myself a descriptivist when it comes to grammar, so I'm reluctant to pile on with the "you said the opposite!" thing, but I do agree that it's a rather inelegant double negative. Perhaps it's the relic of an earlier mental draft of the sentence?

At the very least, the double negative was more interesting than the bottles. :-) They're nice, but about on a par with some of the C.O. Bigelow stuff they sell at Bath and Body Works.

Bitter Sisters would make a great band name.

"The bottles are all the same size.."

Blasphemy sir! Tis' the work of the devil, if true! For we can plainly see they are different sizes, and yet when he shows them rightly, they have transmogrified uniformly!

Burn him, yon witch!

The bitters are real. I own a bar in North Carolina called Single Brothers Bar and this is a homemade bitters I created that we are using at the bar. Shane has been working on packaging for the bitters and he's done a great job. www.singlebrothersbar.com

"Burn him, yon witch!"

Forsooth! Thou has discovered my true purpose and intent. Curse thee!

I'm sure the brown medicine bottle was chosen because originally bitters were sipped as a health tonic.

The bitters are real.

Woo-hoo!
